You help make sure everyone at work stays safe and healthy. You support leaders and team members to stop accidents and protect the environment. You work in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland. You can get here easily by public transport (Tram 10) or by car, and parking is free.

Your tasks

  • You advise and support leaders and team members on safety, health, and environmental topics.
  • You help create, improve, and follow company rules about safety and the environment.
  • You make sure the company follows Swiss laws for safety, health, and the environment.
  • You check for risks and look into accidents or near misses. You help find and carry out ways to prevent them.
  • You plan and lead safety checks, training, and emergency drills.
  • You track safety goals and report results to leaders. You keep all needed documents ready for checks and certifications.
  • You help everyone learn about safety and make it part of the company culture.
  • You act as the Safety Officer (SiBe) as required by EKAS rules.
  • You work closely with teams like innovation, production, HR, and outside experts (like SUVA, EKAS, doctors).

What you bring

  • You finished a scientific or technical education (BSc, MSc) or have strong technical training in a related field.
  • Extra training as a Safety Officer (like EKAS, SiBe, SiFa) is a plus. If you do not have it yet, you are ready to get this training while working.
  • You have worked for several years in a similar HSE role.
  • You know Swiss laws about safety, health, and the environment well.
  • You know some basics about workplace health.
  • You speak and write very good German and English. French is a plus.
  • You are good at analyzing problems and work in a structured, solution-focused way.
  • You take responsibility, show initiative, and can stand up for safety needs.
  • You communicate well with everyone in the company.
  • You have strong PC skills (MS Office; HSE or management systems is a plus).
  • You are a Swiss or EU citizen or have a C Swiss resident permit.
